Bésame Mucho

This initiative, inspired by the project Wish Upon a Wedding, was born in the United States in 2009. From La Puta Suegra we wanted to embrace this cause and carry it out in Spain.  

Many couples are facing terminal illnesses and have endured far greater challenges than many of us could ever imagine. Couples in this situation do not have the energy and time to plan their weddings. Indeed, managing the financial and emotional expense of a serious illness can make it difficult to even consider planning a wedding.  

Our goal is to help these couples in difficult health circumstances to celebrate their love. Taking care of all the details, offering our couples the opportunity to enjoy a very special day surrounded by their closest family and friends. 

A team of professional medical advisers, partners, ambassadors and associates have joined together in this project to design really different and very special weddings with a stamp of authenticity and a lot of personality.   

Bésame Mucho is the union of all to make these couples happy.

How can I apply? 

From Bésame Mucho we have established some requirements to take into account when you, couples, are applying! We are very excited about taking part in your upcoming project!

• One person in the couple must be diagnosed with a terminal illness with a prognosis of less than 5 years of life. Verification from a doctor is required to enter into the process.  

• Both spouses must be over 18 years old. 

• The weddings will take place in Barcelona or Madrid. If you live in another city, ask us! Couples from all nationalities, residents in Spain can have access to the process.

We can’t wait to meet you!

All our weddings and renewals of vows cover the expenses of:  

• Guestlist up to a maximum of 50 people.

• Wedding organization and design.

• Venue rental for the celebration.

• Photographer.

• Videographer.

• Catering service Officiant.

• Floral decoration.

• Stationery.

• DJ or live music.

• Transportation for the bride and groom.

Non-included services: 

• Dress, suit, veil, shoes, and jewelry for the bride and groom. 

• Alcohol is prohibited at weddings organized by Bésame Mucho.  

• Weddings will be held during the months of November to March and are subject to the availability of providers and venues.
